FAQ
1.Can grip tapes for golf, baseball and hockey be used interchangeably?
It is not recommended. Golf grip tapes have a relatively large diameter, focusing on antislip, sweat absorption and grip cushioning. Baseball bat grip tapes feature higher wear resistance to withstand impact friction. Hockey grip tapes deliver outstanding waterproof performance and are relatively thin. They may work for emergency temporary use, yet longterm use will compromise grip feel and service life.
2.How do you know when to replace the grip tape?
Replacement is recommended if any of the following occurs: ① Surface peeling or cracking; ② Noticeable slipping when sweating; ③ Swelling and deformation of grip tape, lifting or adhesive failure at wrapped sections.
3.What should you pay attention to when wrapping grip tape?
① Keep even overlap during wrapping, with the overlapping range at 1/41/3 of the grip tape width. ② Maintain uniform tension; do not wrap too tight or too loose. Excessive tension may cause cracking later.
4.Is it better for the grip tape to be thicker?
No. Excessively thick tape reduces ballcontrol feel, while overly thin tape offers poor shock absorption. Choose proper thickness according to your palm size.
5.Can grip tape be removed and reused?
Not recommended. The backing adhesive loses its effectiveness after removal, so rewrapped tape tends to come loose.
